Wow where do I start! The Anchor is on the main A6 in Hazel Grove right near the Sainsburys. It looks like quite a large pub from the outside but is fairly small inside with a few tables around the edge and some stools at the bar. The bar area is very small with very little in the way of choice. There were some lagers on draft and strongbow cider with 1 small fridge containing soft drinks. There were some small bottles of red wine on the side but that is pretty much it! I asked what other cider they have to be told they stock Bulmers although I couldn't see it. I'm not sure why they don't have their stock on show so people can order without having to ask questions.
The staff aren't particularly helpful and we had to wait around 5 minutes when we first arrived for someone to actually be behind the bar. Not that long but still disorientating when entering a new establishment! The tables were slightly sticky and the toilets were dirty with a broken toilet seat. Not pleasant and I won't be back.
